Reminder: Required immunizations. Letters were sent out in May to families whose child needs a vaccine. If your child is turning 11 prior to September 1, they are required to have a Tdap vaccine. If your child is entering 7th grade they are required to have an MCV4 vaccine. If your child turns 16 prior to September 1, they are required to have a second MCV4 vaccine. These Immunizations are required prior to the start of the 23-24 school year (August 14). If you received an immunization letter for your child, please schedule an appointment with the Health Department or your family doctor to get these immunizations prior to the start of the 23-24 school year.
This week the book bus will be traveling on Thursday, July 13th instead of the normal Tuesday route. The book bus will make all the normal stops at the normal times, just on Thursday. We hope to see you Thursday!

The Cedar Ridge Book Bus hits the road tomorrow and will run every Tuesday from June 6 - July 30 (except July 4). Scheduled stops are: Thida Community Center 9:30-10:00, Oil Trough City Park 10:15-10:45, Newark Fire Station, 11:00-11:30, McAdams Park (Cord) 12:30-1:00, Sale Barn (Charlotte) 1:15-1:45. Come enjoy sweet treats, books, prizes and familiar faces. We hope to see you at one of our stops.

The Sr. High softball team will play a double header today at Quitman. Games start at 3:30p.m.
On Monday, April 24th, students in grades 6 and 8 will be screened for scoliosis. If you do not want your child screened for scoliosis, you must let the school nurse know in writing at least three days before the screening date. The Cedar Ridge Choir Yard Sale Fundraiser will be held this Saturday, April 8th in front of the Cedar Ridge High School during the citywide yard sale. All proceeds will benefit the Choir Programs.
Cedar Ridge will be monitoring the severe weather as it moves across the state during the overnight and morning hours. If there is an active tornado warning for our area at the time buses begin routes, we will hold all buses until the warning is lifted. We will send updates via text and social media if this situation occurs.
