Happy #StaffFeatureFriday! This Friday, we are spotlighting Mrs. Prisscilla Callahan. Mrs. Callahan has been teaching at Cedar Ridge since 2012. She teaches 6th grade Keyboarding and 10th-12th grade businesses classes, and is also the Yearbook Advisor and Co-Sponsor of FBLA. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 23 years and they have one daughter, Clancy, who is a Junior at Cedar Ridge. They love to watch sports as a family, so you can usually find them in the stands after school cheering on the Timberwolves! They also enjoy traveling, with their favorite vacation destination being Disney World. Prisscilla's hobbies include photography, bass fishing, watching movies, and shopping. "The most rewarding part of teaching for me is when former students come up to me at ballgames or in public and say 'thank you' for teaching me how to pay my bills or create a resume or fill out a job application or prepare for an interview. That always reminds me of why I am still teaching." Cedar Ridge is so proud to have someone like you, Mrs. Callahan!

Happy #StaffFeatureFriday! This week, we are spotlighting Mrs. Debra Treadway. Mrs. Debra is a 1971 graduate of Newark High School - says she'll "always be a Kangaroo at heart." She started at Cedar Ridge in March of 2012, and currently works as the District Bookkeeper. She has lived here all her life, coming from a farm family in the area. Her dad was on the school board when some of the school buildings were built! Mrs. Debra has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. "I like spending time with my family, especially my youngest grandson. I like hunting and fishing, watching basketball, gardening, being outdoors, and raising flowers and a big garden for canning and freezing. I also love reading books, watching old movies, and investigating new places with my husband. I love my job here at Cedar Ridge and the people that I work with. I think we have a wonderful school with many opportunities for our students. I believe we have some of the best educators and administrators in the area who really care about our students and each other." Cedar Ridge is so proud to have someone like Mrs. Debra!

Paula has a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction and certification in Administration. She also has a degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She currently works as the Director of Federal Programs and Student Services, which encompasses many things including District Testing Coordinator, Homeless Liaison, eSchool Administrator, and more. She is involved in many different things at her church, including playing the piano. She is on the board for Christmas Brings Hope of Independence County. "I like to travel and see new places when possible. Work is a big part of my life so I like to relax on the weekends when I can. I'm so glad to have a work family like Cedar Ridge."
