We would like to invite our Timberwolf families and community members to attend the first Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting of the 2022-2023 school year here at Cedar Ridge. The meeting will take place in the Cedar Ridge Elementary Cafeteria this Thursday, September 8th at 7:00 p.m.

Some may wonder what the PTO is and the purpose of a school PTO.  The PTO is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, community members, grandparents and any individual that wants to be involved in their local school district. The definition of PTOs may vary based on school districts, but the Cedar Ridge PTO is comprised of a group of volunteers working together to give parents and teachers the best opportunity to work together to supplement and enrich the educational experience. The PTO fundraises throughout the year -- this may be 1-2 large fundraisers or a set of smaller fundraisers. The PTO uses the profits from the fundraisers for various things throughout the year, including…

1.       rewards for students throughout the year as incentives for testing, behavior and achievements

2.       gifts/food/snacks for teachers during teacher appreciation week

3.       help with purchasing supplies for classrooms that teachers and or students need to help with the educational experience

As you can see the Cedar Ridge PTO is devoted to our students and staff, and wants to see them both succeed! We would love to have you come out and help us brainstorm ways to make this year even better! Please make plans to attend this Thursday, September 8th at 7 p.m. in the Cedar Ridge Elementary Cafeteria. We can’t wait to hear from you!
