COVID-19 Update
Dear Cedar Ridge Parents and Guardians,

This afternoon Governor Asa Hutchinson held a press conference where the Arkansas Secretary of Education Johnny Key announced that off-site instruction would continue in all Arkansas schools for the remainder of the school year. That means that classes at Cedar Ridge will continue in the off-site format we are currently using until our scheduled last day of school -- May 21, 2020. School is not scheduled to be in session on Friday, April 24, 2020, so students will not be required to work on AMI assignments on this day.

We will continue the food and AMI packet deliveries every Monday. If you want to be added to this list, please call 870-201-2577, ext. 0210 or ext. 0308. If no one answers, please leave a message.

I know that the upcoming graduation ceremony is a major concern for many families. I want you to know that we still intend to have a graduation ceremony at some point. We do not know what it will look like exactly, but it is a priority of ours to honor our graduates and to highlight the hard work they have done over the past 13 years. We will work hard to make graduation a special moment for our kids -- even if it ends up looking differently than we originally planned.

Please stay in touch with your children’s teachers. If you are having trouble contacting someone, please call the school office where your child attends. The school offices will be open Monday – Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM. If you are still having trouble, please call 870-201-2577, ext. 0210 or ext. 0308 any time and leave a message. The messages are checked daily.

This is definitely not how anyone wanted this year to end, but I appreciate how you are working with our educators to make this experience beneficial for your kids.

We are here to help, so please reach out to us. I will continue to communicate with you when new information becomes available. At this time, please focus on the health of yourselves and your families, follow the Governor’s guidelines related to social distancing, and let’s work together to flatten the curve so that we can get life back to normal.

Thank you and stay healthy,
Dr. Andy Ashley
