With a team score of 236, they defeated the Bigelow Panthers by 18 strokes, and took home the 2A State Title. This came just 2 weeks after they placed first in the 2A-3 District Tournament, and with Citizens Bank Tournament Champions also under their belt, they closed their season with a record of 57-2.

Senior Caden Griffin competed in a one-hole playoff against Marmaduke’s Brooks Vangilder, earning 1st place with an individual score of 71 (1-under par) and the Boys Medalist honor. Junior Easton Griffin beat Izard County’s Elijah Wilkes in a one-hole playoff, earning 3rd place with an individual score of 76. Caden and Easton will compete in the ASGA High School Overall Tournament at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock next week, along with Marmaduke’s Brooks Vangilder. They were also named All-State after the tournament.

Timberwolf Junior Kyle Provence finished the day with an individual score of 89, and Senior Kade Barber ended with a score of 92.

“As a coach, I’m very lucky to be around four great kids on and off the course,” says Head Golf Coach Kevin Arms. “They have put in a ton of hard work this summer and it has paid off. I am so proud of them!”

Congratulations to the Timberwolves!
